  Kids referring to older ones as AUNTIE or UNCLE

  i don't know about other patrs of the world but in the uk, youngsters were expected to refer to older ones as auntie or uncle.

  i publicly told my children not to do this, i thought it was reeeeally creepy.

  my main reason for this is that i think it creates trust in people that are strangers to the family unit and for some kids, it's part of the grooming process for molestation.

  A social worker specialising in this area told my ex-wife a few years ago that the JW faith was RIFE with these paedophiles. This was before the real truth of this hit the shores of the UK with the infamous Panorama TV programme. The WTS in the UK should address this and strengthen their almost non existent Child Protection Policy. It stinks!

  i really think that is the most ridiculous and hysterical comment ive heard for a while.The JW,s are rife with child abuse in the UK?I dont think so.in fact i dont think there is a country in the world that is "rife"with paedophile JW,s.!!In 30 Years of association with the religion i wasnt aware of ONE case of child abuse..and i had a wide range of friends and aquaintances in the religion and as all know,gossip is a JW speciality.Yes,it must happen (as im sure it does in every community..who knows,shock horror there may be ex-jw molesters!!)but comments such as the above are just stoopid imo.

  Going back to the topic ,yeah i was told to say uncle and aunt ,didnt hurt me,thought it was a bit daft though.

  in my latest post in my story, i recounted how my dad and another elder made attendance at high school sports events a no-no.

  in retrospect, i don't recall anything in print that made attendance at local sporting events a shepherding offense.

  maybe my memory is faulty.. did your boe make rules like this?.

  well,im now 35 and this will be the first year i willnot go...i dont expect an invite from anyone..it wouldnt make a scrap of differance anyway....i call the whole thing bollocks.

  I went the last 2 years(whilst faded) and nearly fell for it all ...again!Everyone so nice ,so friendly,so "concerned".

  Thankfully last time my Girlfriend took me home and showed me one or two things i would miss if i did go back .

  Amazing how i didnt believe a word of "the truth" ...but still thought about how much i missed certain things and certain "friends".

  Nope,wild horses wouldnt drag me there to that soulless nonsense.

  the freeman brothers of allentown pennsylvania lashed out against their strict upbringing by killing their loyal jw parents and even their younger brother.. the story made national headlines because these two had tattoos on their foreheads.

  Also as an aside if any of you ever watch shows like Max X and Real TV there's one oft played scene where the police are in a high speed chase with a distraught husband boyfriend something and he tries to drive through a gas station and hits one of the pumps and starts a fire and when the cops open the door to drag him out you can hear his car radio blasting kingdom melodies at full volume! Hilarious!!!

  imo Dozy has been respectful and sincere.He doesnt strike me as a troll at all.
